Privacy

Last updated: to be set on publication.

Before you publish this: the bracketed details below need filling in with your legal entity, address and data-protection contact, and the whole document should be read by a lawyer in your jurisdiction. It describes accurately what the software does, but describing it accurately is not the same as meeting GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, or the App Store and Play privacy-label requirements.

Won't Fit is a room planner. It is built so that the interesting part — drawing, the 3D, reading a plan out of a photograph, checking whether things fit — happens on your device. This page says exactly what leaves it.

Who is responsible

[LEGAL ENTITY NAME], of [REGISTERED ADDRESS], is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything on this page, write to privacy@wontfit.app.

If you do not make an account

Nothing personal reaches us. Rooms, preferences and your name if you set one are stored on the device, by the app, and are never sent anywhere. You can use Won't Fit this way indefinitely.

If you do make an account

We store:

A free account does not sync, so a free account's rooms stay on the device in the same way they do with no account at all.

What we deliberately do not collect

Who else is involved

Three processors, each doing one job:

Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone else except where the law requires it.

Where the data lives

On AWS infrastructure in [REGION — us-east-1 as configured]. If you are in the UK or the EEA, this means your data is transferred to the United States; that transfer relies on [TRANSFER MECHANISM — e.g. the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as incorporated in the AWS Data Processing Addendum].

How long it is kept

Deleting everything

In the app: Preferences → your account → Delete account. This removes your rooms, preferences and sign-in record, and it cannot be undone. Rooms already on your device stay there — they are yours. Cancel any subscription first, or it will keep billing.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to see what we hold, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict what we do with it, and to receive a copy in a portable form. Deleting your account does most of this immediately; for anything else, write to privacy@wontfit.app and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority — in the UK that is the ICO.

Children

Won't Fit is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age). If you think a child has made an account, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
